Team Building

Team building can be offered by a number of different approaches. Depending on the outcome of the session, the program can be designed using a variety of activities to meet the team building objective. Some programs are designed to resolve a particular issue or challenge, while other programs are designed to improve team morale. We do not make ‘expert’ pronouncements based on the latest fad or prescribe pre-determined solutions. We believe that the most effective solutions must be created and owned by the people who need them.

  • Have recent changes within the organization impacted team performance?
  • Do you have new team members that need to get on board?
  • Is there a lack of clarity around the goal or vision?
  • Is there conflict among team members?
  • Is the team in alignment with organizational goals?
  • Have there been communication issues?

Benefits of Team Development

  • Team members are more perceptive and aware of differing communication styles
  • Team goals are achieved as a result of everyone being heard
  • The team is more aligned with organizational goals, and clear on individual expectations to reach team goals
  • Team members are clear about the future and direction of the organization
  • Team members become more productive and focused

Focus on specific issue affecting team
By conducting confidential interviews with members of an intact team, department, or division information is gathered to determine what barriers are impacting team performance, or how team performance can be enhanced. Activities will be designed to help resolved the issue at hand, be practical and outcome oriented. The consultant will work closely with the client to determine the best solution, whether it be team/group coaching, team building, or a facilitated meeting or retreat.

Experiential Team Building
The Trillium group partners with qualified consultants to provide a more fun and active team building session. These activities are designed to build team spirit and cooperation, and are often considered safe, such as low-ropes, and ground activities suitable for all participants.

Team or Group Coaching

Team or group or coaching can be used for intact teams, project teams, departments, and leadership development. Action learning is the process of group coaching to work with a variety of issues such as:

  • Process improvement
  • Changes to business strategy
  • Problem resolution
  • New product development
  • Lack of goal/role clarification
  • Conflict between team members, other departments or divisions
  • Making decisions
  • Leadership development

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
The workshop is designed to provide participants with an understanding of a personality inventory based on the theories of Carl Jung. Participants will:

  • Gain insight of their differences, with respect to energy source, information gathering, decision making and lifestyle/work patterns
  • Develop a better understanding of their individual and group personality preferences, and how their behavior and others may impact the performance and daily interaction among group members
